2019 SOFTBALL WINTER WORK OUT INFORMATION - 

 
As part of our growth and development plan, Weston Softball along with the All-American staff is offering an 8 week general skills and development program all Weston Softball athletes in grades 3rd - 8th starting on Jan 29th.  The clinic will focus on sharpening fundamental and pitching skills of our experienced softball players as well as teaching any new players the game prior to the start of our spring season.  Instructors involved with clinics will be Biz Harrigan, Brittany English, Gina Treglia with possibly some help from some other instructors.  

WestonLL will offer two 8 week General Skills clinics for Grades 3rd through 8th at The Factory in Norwalk: 

  • General Skills  Monday Clinics  5:30-7:00pm for players in grades 3rd through 8th -  starting Jan 28th  - $325 per player
  • General Skills Saturday Clinics  - 10:00-11:30am for players in grades 3rd through 8th starting February 2nd -  $325 per player
Weston Little League Softball Program Details

GENERAL SKILLS CLINIC 2019:

I. MONDAY CLINIC - SOFTBALL General Skills Clinic - GRADES 3-8

Starts: January 28th for 8 weeks

Day and Time: Mondays from 5:30-7:00pm

Location:  The Factory, 327 Main Ave in Norwalk

Dates: 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25, (4/1 snow date)

Cost: $325 per player

The General Skills clinic will focus on sharpening fundamental and basic skills of our experienced softball players as well as teaching any new players the game prior to the start of our spring season.  Each session we will focus on proper throwing/receiving, fielding, hitting, and bunting techniques.  The players will be separated by age level.    Weekly the players will go through age/skill appropriate drills to reinforce the fundamentals of the game.  Our goal is to teach players new skills with proper mechanics so that each player can gain confidence, improve their abilities, and ultimately achieve success on the field.   We will make sure we can accommodate all the athletes who wish to participate.

II. SATURDAY CLINIC - SOFTBALL GENERAL SKILLS CLINIC - GRADES 3rd- 8th

Starts: February 2nd  -  8 Week program

Day and Time: Saturdays from 10:00-11:30

Location: The Factory, 327 Main Ave in Norwalk

Dates: 2/2, 2/9, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, (4/6 snow date)

Cost: $325 per player

2019 SPRING SOFTBALL INFORMATION - 

 

2019 Spring season registration NOW OPEN!

Spring Softball is for girls in Grades K through 8th to play in Inter Town leagues as follows:

 

A1 Instructional League -  Kindergarten and 1st Grade

Program cost = $220

This league is focused on teaching the girls the basics of the game.  A1 will have 1 Saturday game and 1 practice scheduled based on team availability.  Timing of games and practices will be based on other towns, coach and player conflicts.  Practices will be assisted by professional instructors.  

Games will be a mix of T-ball and coach pitch.

 

A2 and AA League - 2nd and 3rd Graders

Program cost = $220

These teams will be determined based on registration numbers.  If we have enough in each grade, there will be an A2 (2nd grade) team and an AA (3rd grade) team.  There will be one Saturday game with one practice determined by the coach and player conflicts.

Girls learn to pitch in AA division (but coaches’ assist - after the pitcher throws one walk, coach comes in on every 3rd ball). Balanced playing time requirement. Score is kept.  

Professional instructors will be assisting practices.   

 

AAA League - 4th & 5th Grades

Program cost = $300 until February 28th, after February 28th fee increases to $350 - Regisration ends March 15th

2 games per weekend with one weekday practice which will be determined by the coach & player conflicts.  

Player pitch.  There are time limits on games (no new inning can start after 90 minutes)   Balanced playing/pitching time requirement.  Season ends with Tournament.

Professional instructors will be assisting practices.  

 

Majors League - 6th & 7th Grade

Program cost = $350 until February 28th, after February 28th fee increases to $400.  Registration ends March 15th.

There will be 2 games per weekend with 1-2 practices which will be determined by the coach & player conflicts. Some playing/pitching time requirement. Season ends with a Tournament.

Professional instructor will be assisting the team for practices and games.  

 

Juniors League - 8th Grade

Program cost = $350 until February 28th, after February 28th fee increases to $400.  Registation ends March 15th.

There will be 2 games per weekend (Friday and/or Saturday and/or Sunday) with 1-2 practices determined by the coach and player conflicts. Season ends with a Tournament.

Professional instructor will be assisting the team for practices and games.  

 

 

Season Games start the last weekend of April

Season Practices will start, depending on weather, the week before or after April break
